You guys saved our family! All of our furniture was HELD IN BOND AT THE BORDER with a BOND FEE and our mover left us high and dry saying their hands were tied!! CanWest worked with customs and cleaned up our paper work (we made a couple of mistakes) which wasn’t reviewed by the last company. But CanWest did the job right! They negotiated for our goods in bond and reduced the price greatly! They reloaded their truck and got us moved to Dallas! Our stuff would still be there if it wasn’t for them! We went with the cheapest mover and that was a HUGE mistake, cheap cost me a lot more than you can imagine. High regards
Other moving companies gave us a 21-40 day delivery time for our long distance move. Canwest said they would deliver in under 10 and they did! Other “reputable” companies said that was impossible. This company did exactly what they guaranteed they would. My children didn’t have to sleep on the floor for a week like our last moving company did to us. This company was so responsive and helpful every step of the way and made the process as painless as possible, especially when things did not go according to plan on my end. The crews at the first house were very careful with my belongings and when the same driver showed up asking for the key to unlock the container with our belongings I was blown away. Nailed it!
They kicked butt during our move! We are so impressed that we felt compelled to tell the public about it! Moving can be super duper stressful, however if you use a mover like CanWest Van lines, you will NOT go wrong for your move. These guys nailed it, from the start, helped calm my wife down, delivery, the whole enchilada.
This was a last minute job and I can say stress is an understatement. We didn't know what to do, we read reviews on Nama reviews and Google, and landed on these guys.

This was a good moving experience
We are relieved we chose this moving company based on their excellent reviews. We didn't get another estimate from another company. For us it was about the quality and timing of the relocation so, we went with the premium package. Not necessarily the cheapest price but obviously the highest level of service. Everything went smoothly, from the timely, detailed estimate, to the thorough office communication, as well as our belongings being carefully packed and arriving in good condition, within a week or so. We were kept up to date throughout the process from the office. The truck driver and move co-ordinator of ground operations (I forget his name) was very considerate and well organized. Our boxes and other belongings (even the bed parts) were labeled with numbers and recorded in detail. Pieces that couldn't be boxed were wrapped for protection when packed and blanketed with great care. The staff was thankful for the food, drinks and gratuity we provided. They get ten stars because of a mistake they corrected. This is the first time I’ve ever written a review. After reading this you should be able to figure out why.
I told the mover I’d sold the chairs but wanted to keep my patio table. When they moved me they forgot the table. I called Canwest and they said they’d get back to me in a couple of weeks, after speaking to the coordinator on the move. I thought they would forget about me since I’d already paid. That was two weeks ago and this morning a delivery man just dropped off a brand new patio table!!!!! I certainly did not expect that.
I’m recently widowed and sold our second home in Arizona. I was going through all the stresses of moving while trying to deal with the stresses of a new life and being without my husband of forty-four years.
I read the Nama reviews and decided on Canwest Van lines. They were very helpful over the phone and the workers were hard working and friendly. I hired one of the women from the crew to help me after the move to wrap up items for charity.

Going the extra mile
The Canwest team was just super amazing! Most importantly, they were fantastic with our animals! They carefully packed our home and kept asking us to let them know if we needed help with anything, and they kept checking in with us regarding items to pack/not pack etc. They were conscientious and went the extra mile.
This team meticulously covered the floors and came prepared to get the job done. Our move was cross country and we had to place our things in storage. For anyone looking for a professional and reliable moving company, I highly recommend CanWest. I have moved between Canada and the USA four times in the past 12 years for my job and can’t express what a difference a move makes when you can rely on a company.

This review is for Canwest Vanlines. I cannot say enough about how good this team is. We have a lot of oversized furniture and a 85” very large flat screen.
Their attention to detail when preparing to move my furniture into my home was incredible. In addition to covering floors and they even covered areas of the ceiling that had the potential to be bumped by moving furniture. No wall, corner or ceiling was ever bumped… but all was covered up just in case. - Frances

My cross border move from the US to Canada was handled by Canwest Van lines. In Florida, five men showed up dressed in blue shirts and hats led by Ian, and made that part of the move effortless. They were all professional , thoughtful and respectful of my belongings. We had a little hiccup on the Canadian end but it was worked out amicably. The four gentlemen who unloaded my belongings, they were very respectful in how they handled the delivery and the professionalism continued.
I honestly cannot say enough about these men. They answered every call that I made to them. I was extremely nervous about this move and had to change the date with my agent three different times. Reputable!
Quick and efficient Move
CanWest Vanlines moved our 6 bedroom house flawlessly. They are a tippy-top mover among top movers. I know we’ve moved five times internationally. Unlike other large companies we’ve moved with, everything the agent said they’d do, they did. Honest, quick, and efficient.
By far our best move thus far. The inventory system came back 100% accounted for and they assembled all of the major furniture etc. We didn’t have to lift a finger. Moving a house is a stressful. Can West Van lines was able to reduce our anxiety and make the process as smooth as it possibly could be. The crew was on time first thing in the morning and had us carefully packed and loaded before lunch. Large items like the couch, table and beds were masterfully taken apart, and everything was wrapped safely and securely. The back of that truck was packed like Sardines. We give Canwest a well deserved high rating for our recent move. The eight man crew was outstanding. They worked seamlessly and tirelessly together to move the valuable contents of our house, guest house, garage and shed. Furniture was well wrapped, skillfully dismantled and reassembled where needed. The team got our Grand piano, through narrow doors and passage ways that we thought impassable. They were extremely pleasant and professional, they wouldn’t let us touch a thing. When they saw us pick something up they’d always asked to take it off our hands.

While researching companies for moving our household my wife solicited recommendations from friends. We contacted about five of these companies for an estimate. Canwest Van lines was the only one who came and looked at our stuff. He made a fair offer and stuck to it. If you're reading this you're seeing reviews that give these guys 10/10. We read them before the move and have now lived through the same satisfying experience. These are the guys are definitely the best.
Great job!
They moved us over the border and unloaded us door to door all in after only seven days. It was the best move experience we’ve ever had. On the pick up location we had 7 strong, professionals showed up on time and loaded and unloaded entire content of our 7,000 sqft. house in no time. When required, all our furniture was taken apart and assembled without a hitch. All of our art works were boxed appropriately and arrived without a scratch. They even dissembled our tool shed and the new crew assembled it on the other side. They didn’t have to do that but did so regardless. They were very respectful and meticulous. We highly recommend this outstanding moving company to everyone. Thank you for a great job!
Cheerful and professional
I try only to use services that are recommended to me by people I know and trust and that is how I got to Canwest van lines. Their work was outstanding and their service attitude was superlative. They encouraged us to get competing quotes and said he wasn't the cheapest but they certainly were the best and worth it. And they were right. The quote and timing commitment was kept and the transaction was most professional. The crew was efficient, polite, cheerful , and packed our furniture beautifully. When they arrived, they were gracious enough to make adjustments and changes to furniture placement and I was very happy. I was at a friend's BBQ a couple days later and announced how great they were and another couple said they used them as well. Word of mouth is the best advertising. Take my advice and I don’t offer it unsolicited unless well deserved, for a full house move, you have a hard time finding someone better.
Attention to detail
Canwest Van lines moved my wife and myself from British Columbia to Tennessee. They handled our paperwork like a law firm. They caught a few mistakes my wife made on the documents and saved us a lot of time. The guys were fantastic very professional and meticulous with every aspect of our move. Move from US to Canada- Great Experience!
CanWest Van Lines made our move from the US to Canada a pleasure. They moved our family from San Diego to Saskatoon. They were professional, friendly, honest, and super efficient. The quote provided by the agent was on point, which was very much appreciated as I initially went with a different moving company but they kept putting different people on our move and I had to remind them who we were every time I called, so I decided to look around at other companies.
Becky our neighbour recommended CanWest Van Lines, I did some research and was glad I did.I definitely appreciated how up front the agent was in regards of what I can expect to pay and would help take care of the necessary cross border forms - which would have been a big head ache. It was nice to see the same guy who picked up our stuff in San Diego, dropped it off in Saskatoon.

Can't thank CanWest Van lines enough for their exceptional service and gold standard professionalism with our move from D.C to Calgary. Everything went according to plan and our belongings arrived safely in Calgary ahead of schedule! We were in a pinch as a previous moving company fell through at the last minute. We called Canwest and they came up with our estimate and all the details within minutes and was able to accommodate our tight schedule!

An estimate of the cost of the move was made. All of our stuff was professionally packed by this young efficient team. The contents were moved in a large truck and carefully unpacked and placed in our new home.

Well organized company
We used CanWest Van Lines for the first time. I have moved three times. This company is my easiest move to date. They arrived on time, worked efficiently to package and wrap all our items, including expensive furniture. The four gentlemen were professional, caring and worked extremely hard. I was shocked how fast the move was handled between the two houses. I would not hesitate to recommend them. John organizes a very, very professional move. Easy company to work with for your move
Great company to deal with. The whole experience was pleasant. We received an estimate shortly after our initial conversation with the move coordinator. What I liked best was that they gave us a flat rate. Nothing worse than getting those “extra charges” surprises throughout the process.
We experienced that when we moved 8 years ago with I think it was Allied or one of their partners. They quoted us what we thought was reasonable, but then the cost kept creeping up. Highly Recommend
I highly recommend Canwest. Our move was seamless. Other companies we contacted wanted to pack our household over 2 or 3 days and then move us over 3 weeks. Mark said he could do the packing in one day and move us in 5 days because they use a bigger crew and have the same driver who comes to my house - drop off to our new house with no drop offs to another mover or a warehouse building. We were skeptical, but based on a co-workers recommendation we went ahead. We could not have been happier. Our house was completely packed on Monday, moved on Tuesday and arrived on Saturday. Just like they said. We were done by 6 pm. We were amazed by the care and professionalism of both teams. Everyone was polite and they never complained after we had to re-schedule the times and house locations. For a stress-free move, I highly recommend Canwest.
Fairly Priced
We have used Canwest movers 3 times as well as used their storage facilities. We couldn't be happier with their service, price, diligence and accommodation to our requests.

No need to look elsewhere
After 44 years in our home, we moved to Florida. After six estimates, we chose CanWest Van lines. The team of five movers did everything we asked for and more. We thought we'd had to hire someone to take off glass sliding doors to get our large, heavy desk into a small den. The movers tried and succeeded. They were very courteous and worked intelligently as a team. Not one wall was scratched nor one item broken. They put blankest over the railings on the stairs. We have told all our friends not to go elsewhere. Thank you Canwest.

This is the second time I have used Canwest Van lines and they did not disappoint. They are very professional, courteous, and efficient. They work hard and ensure that all of our furniture and possessions we carefully wrapped and delivered. I would highly recommend them as they are superb.
Smooth move!
My real estate agent recommended Canwest. I was happy with the quote and so I agreed. They showed up on time and gave us service like the old days. They were dressed like it too with blue caps and matching blue t-shirts. They were extremely personable, pleasant and worked very efficiently but at the same time they were very careful with our stuff. They labelled boxes I'd forgotten to label, they shrink wrapped items, and furniture, they dismantled furniture when needed, and they moved quickly but not sloppily. They put the boxes in the correct rooms at the new destination and they made sure to check with me if they were unsure about something. They actually cared about my stuff! You hear horror stories about moving companies but these movers are the complete opposite. If you want a smooth move, and let's face it: moving is never easy, I couldn't recommend Canwest van lines enough.

They are very pleasant to deal with, offered very helpful advice and were punctual, professional, careful and courteous in every aspect of the move.
Two furniture items proved especially challenging, but the men persevered and got the job done without any damage to either piece. I don't think you can find a better moving company to take you across the border and believe me I know. I’ve had to do it 4 times.

This was my first time hiring movers and I must say, so worth it! I got quotes from four other movers and these guys were just a tad pricier than two of the larger moving company’s but then there were no hidden costs and we got PREMIUM service. The communication from our main coordinator was very well done.

Packing and moving 4-bedroom half-duplex is not the easiest of tasks. However, Todd and his team made it smooth sailing. They reserved an extra large truck (we needed it, despite the fact that we didn’t think we had THAT much stuff), and showed up ready to do hard work.

Easy company to work with for your move
I’ve hired movers on several different occasions, and working with Canwest was a breath of fresh air, starting with my relocation coordinator . My move was from California to Maine for a four-bedroom house, car, and two motorcycles. As you can imagine, I was very nervous about the process considering the value of my things and complexities.
The crew did a fantastic job organizing my stuff in a way where it fits in the truck like a puzzle. They sent a different vehicle for the automobiles and motorcycle. It was a two-day move, but things got done right. It was a straight delivery to my residence.
I ended up with no damage or added charges, which was a lot different than my

They sent us the estimate promptly. Follow-ups were concise and informative. On moving day the Team arrived on time and with several movers. The emptying of our home was smooth and cheerful. A last minute stop to off-load a piano was performed without complaint and we carried on to move all items into our new home. The service was exceptional from beginning to end. When the agent said he only needed to ask questions to give us a exact quote I found it a bit hard to believe. We’ve been overcharged for a move before. Not only was he exact on the rate but, when another moving company came over to the house for an estimate who wanted to charge more, our guy said it was going to be cheaper and he was right! We came in $1,500.00 cheaper. Move day was easy. We weren't there when they were packing up and we found they moved every last thing; they really went above and beyond. Unpacking was easy, efficient and safe. The guys worked hard and made our move day simple. They were very well priced. We recommended them already and would use this company again in a second.

CanWest Van lines is very professional, quick and great to work with. They were very careful wrapping everything up and packaging everything and helped make the moving experience much less stressful. After requesting quotes from several movers I remembered seeing the CanWest Van Lines trucks on the highways.. I contacted them for a quote. On moving day I had two pick up locations. They showed up on time and were incredibly efficient at removing my items from my house, including 3 VERY LARGE pieces of furniture and a Grand piano that I did not think would ever get out the door. The second stop was a storage unit that was emptied out in an hour. These guys hustled, really hustled. They were so fast but also took great care. All of my contents were put in the proper rooms with a military precision. The guys that moved me were polite, professional, delicate and caring. I never generally post on boards, but I really just can’t say enough good things about CanWest Van Lines. There’s a lot of crappy companies out there and believe me thats why I’m writing this now. Good companies deserve to be noted. We were abandoned by our original moving company at the last minute, and we were in a desperate situation. We called CanWest after a friend recommended them (we should have gone with them first), and they were so understanding and professional.
Given how badly we were burned by the original company, we were very stressed out and called them about five times in two days to confirm the details, and they never seemed annoyed or put out and answered all our questions for us and put us at ease. The day of they showed up early and were super friendly and wonderful. They did their job very thoroughly, and were very respectful of our things. They charged us exactly what they said they were going to and we never felt they were ripping us off. I wish I could do more to support this company, now I know my friend Rebecca gushed about them. I will use them again in a heartbeat and I really recommend them!
This is my third time that I have used CanWest move me. The team is great, they have this synergy that binds them together to make the usual ordeal, painless. I have recommended them in the past and most recently to a colleague at work who moved from Miami to Toronto and she was very satisfied with them as well. Move to the Island
The crew at Canwest Van Lines went out of their way to complete our move from Tampa Bay, Fl to Victoria, BC.
Although the truck required for the move had mechanical problems, they showed up an hour later with a much larger truck and didn’t leave us high and dry. Top of the line service for sure. - Sam

We moved from Tennessee to St. John’s and hired Canwest to help us with our 5 bedroom move. The movers and main organizer guy showed up right on time to help and they were fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. They loaded every nook and cranny and got things in there that we couldn’t believe would fit.

When my mother-in-laws home had sold, the sales agent recommended 3 moving companies but, suggested Canwest van lines over the others. The original visit to size up the move was done safely (with Covid protocols) and thoroughly. When the move day arrived, the team arrived right on time and got to work right away. It was a good thing we were completely prepared! A team of 7 (yes 7) young men were very efficient in moving everything out, and they took time to prevent any damage to the contents or the home. The truck was loaded and again the crew asked all the right questions and very efficiently moved everything into the new house. All total it was just about 7 hours for the entire move out and move in. A very professional move at a very reasonable cost. We would definitely recommend Canwest van lines to anyone.

Amongst the top 5 moving companies they are ranked as the best cross border mover. They had over 100 five stars reviews and now I understand why. After speaking with my moving consultant and getting an iron-clad quote, I decided to go with them. Nama Reviews was right. This company didn’t miss a beat. Canwest Van lines came recommended. I’ve moved several times and had a horrible experience.
This time around, I did my research and found them based on referrals. I was moving overseas, so I had to make sure that this time, I would pick the right company. With all the garbage on the net, I was able to narrow down my pick to a few stable companies. The main reason I went with Canwest was because of my agent. I’ve hired movers on several different occasions, and working with Canwest was a breath of fresh air, starting with my relocation coordinator . My move was from California to Maine for a four-bedroom house, car, and two motorcycles. As you can imagine, I was very nervous about the process considering the value of my things and complexities.
The crew did a fantastic job organizing my stuff in a way where it fits in the truck like a puzzle. They sent a different vehicle for the automobiles and motorcycle. It was a two-day move, but things got done right. It was a straight delivery to my residence.

No one showed up on moving day! CanWest Van Lines did! At the last minute when everyone else said “no” or wanted to charge us triple costs- CanWest Van Lines took mercy on our souls and never took advantage! They had a available truck and never even charged us a rush charge. Everyone else said it was $500 to $2000 more, just for the rush charge. They kicked butt during our move! We are so impressed that we felt compelled to tell the public about it! Moving can be super duper stressful, however if you use a mover like CanWest Van lines, you will NOT go wrong for your move. These guys nailed it, from the start, helped calm my wife down, delivery, the whole enchilada. This was a last minute job and I can say stress is an understatement. We didn't know what to do, we read reviews on Nama reviews and Google, and landed on these guys. Canwest van lines was highly recommended to us by my brother-in-law and we heartily agree with the recommendation. Our representative helped us choose the best moving time and from the time Canwest team drove up our driveway, to the time they packed up the last of the moving blankets at our new home, we were very impressed with the professional manner of all of the staff. They were at our place on time, with 6 uniformed men, ready to start moving our belongings onto the truck. Everyone worked at top speed, but still were able to wrap all our furnishings carefully in moving blankets and our piano was handled safely. Although we packed our boxes and were planning on moving them ourselves they were very accommodating and packed them onto the truck -even although that service wasn’t part of the original contract. When they arrived at our new home, they were very organized moving everything into place. When some of the furniture didn’t quite fit into the new rooms, they were able to make suggestions for alternate placement – something that we appreciated very much. In only 3 hours, they were finished and we knew that we had lucked into travelling with the greatest of movers.

Packing and moving 4-bedroom half-duplex is not the easiest of tasks. However, Todd and his team made it smooth sailing. They reserved an extra large truck (we needed it, despite the fact that we didn’t think we had THAT much stuff), and showed up ready to do hard work.

Of all the van lines Canwest was the most responsive and thorough and I went with them. We live in VA and needed to get everything out of my grandmother’s house in FL, delivered to VA, but they showed up exactly when they said, called with updates, and dropped off exactly as requested; no surprise charges, nothing broken, everything packed and protected well, and they were very professional. Impressed with the service
We were expecting real stress because of our 5,500 sqft. six bedroom big move with many heavy items including our grand piano our art and a collection of glass ware. The relocation process with CanWest Van Lines went easily, fast and on time. The men and woman wrapped, packed and moved our articles like a fine tuned machine. No complaints, no arguing, we bought pizza and they were very appreciative. We were really impressed with the professionalism of the staff and their friendliness. Cross Border Move
My cross border move from the US to Canada was handled by Canwest Van lines. In Florida, five of the most professional men showed up , dressed in blue shirts and hats led by Ian, and made that part of the move effortless. They were all professional , thoughtful and respectful of my belongings. We had a little hiccup on the Canadian end but it was worked out amicably. The four gentlemen who unloaded my belongings, they were very respectful in how they handled the delivery and the professionalism continued. I honestly cannot say enough about these men. They answered every call that I made to them. I was extremely nervous about this move and had to change the date with my agent three different times. His reaction each time was professional and reassuring. They delivered as I requested. I’m so happy I chose this company and you will be too. Thank you.
Great COVID move experience
We had an excellent positive experience during COVID!! The Canwest crew was awesome from the jump and Rob and did an INCREDIBLE job of wrapping and loading my belongings. There's no way I thought it would all fit in one truck but it did! No wall marks to cover up from pick up or drop off, no property damaged, and great positive attitudes throughout. We cannot recommend this company enough!!!

We had the best moving experiences with Canwest. I underestimated how much stuff I had but these movers came to my rescue. I had a few complications during my move and they helped me through the issues. I was quite impressed by the service provided by this moving service and I will refer them to anyone.
We just moved from our larger house to our new smaller one. There was a lot of stuff to squeeze into a limited space. In addition we had some very large and heavy pieces that were difficult to get into the new house. Can West Van lines did a great job, they arrived on time with a large crew and were finished before we knew it. All 6 members of the crew were very personable and clearly knew what they were doing. No damage was done to either house or the contents. They really made what could have been a very stressful day if not a pleasure at least manageable. I would recommend them without hesitation. We’ve used Can west Vanlines twice now. As a general contractor and design consultant - moving furniture for my clients downsizing and renovating is very important. They moved particularly fragile art work and crated it perfectly. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to help us when we need it most.
I could not have done this without these fellas. They are great. I was moving things to my new home, plus moving items to storage and items for donation and garbage. They looked after everything. They also did packing and unpacking for me. Everything was so professional. The crew were efficient and so very kind and helpful. They went out of their way to help make a difficult move manageable for me. I would strongly recommend using their services and will certainly go to them for my next move.
Kind company
I never give reviews but I felt like I should this time as they went over and beyond. We had to make a last minute move for my elderly Auntie and they were so kind to us and the movers were really careful with her stuff. She was very concerned about anyone touching all her antiques and china. She watched them like a hawk for 20 minutes then said that she trusted their packing and let them do their job. Haha. She doesn’t trust many people, so that tells you a lot. They also treated her very kindly. SO we are very thankful.
